Dean of Faculty Roddy Dunlop QC joins PBS

ProBonoSkills.com (“PBS”) is very pleased to announce that the Dean of the Faculty of Advocates Roddy Dunlop QC has been appointed Patron of the organisation.

The Dean, a graduate of Edinburgh University and a member of Axiom Advocates, is the only Scottish silk to be ranked in seven separate practice areas by Chambers UK, who place him as a Band 1 Silk in the areas of professional discipline, professional negligence, commercial dispute resolution, media law, medical negligence and public procurement.

Commenting on his appointment, the Dean said: “I am delighted to offer my support to PBS. I have been keen to promote the interaction between the Faculty’s Free Legal Services Unit and the various University Law Clinics, and your platform is entirely commensurate with that aim. The law clinics provide an invaluable service to society, often filling in the gap left by limitations in legal aid. This innovative new platform, which will further enhance the already commendable work of the law clinics, is most welcome and comes with my full support. I look forward to seeing many members of the profession joining together to support PBS in the months and years ahead.”
