Rebecca Samaras

Rebecca was appointed to the newly established Director of Pro Bono and Clinical Legal Education in 2019. She is responsible for developing and leading the Edinburgh Law School’s pro bono activity, a role that includes managing the award winning Free Legal Advice Centre. Rebecca holds an LLM in Experiential Learning and Teaching in Law and is an advocate of clinical legal education which she sees as an integral part of legal education.

Rebecca is a trustee of the Access to Justice Foundation and a trustee of the Clinical Legal Education Organisation. She also sits on the Scotland Committee of the Access to Justice Foundation and of the Law Society of Scotland’s Access to Justice Committee and chairs the Scottish University Law Clinic Network.

Rebecca is a regular contributor and presenter at national and international conferences on access to justice and clinical legal education.
