Dame Elizabeth Gardiner

Dame Elizabeth started at the Office of the Parliamentary Counsel in 1991 and worked as a legislative drafter and then team leader in the Office until her promotion to First Parliamentary Counsel and Permanent Secretary in 2015.

Dame Elizabeth has worked on a wide range of legislative projects, including on consolidation bills, law reform and tax legislation. She was appointed Dame Commander of the Order of Bath in the 2021 Birthday Honours for services to government and the legislative process.

Jonathan, Co-founder of PBS, is a trainee solicitor at CMS. He studied the LLB and DPLP at the University of Aberdeen.

Jonathan was the Student Director of the award-winning student founded, led and operated Aberdeen Law Project, a pro bono organisation that works to support communities in north east Scotland. He now sits on the Project’s advisory board.

Victorie-Anne, originally from France, is a trainee solicitor at CMS. She studied the LLB and DPLP at the University of Aberdeen, where she attained first class honours.

Victorie-Anne was the Student Director of the award-winning student founded, led and operated Aberdeen Law Project, a pro bono organisation that works to support communities in north east Scotland.

Sonia Gandhi

Future Trainee Solicitor, Morgan Stanley

Sonia completed her undergraduate law degree at the University of Leicester and commenced her LPC at the University of Law in 2023. She will be starting her in-house training contract with Morgan Stanley in September 2023.

During the first two years of her undergraduate degree, she was a Legal Researcher and then Student Director of the pro bono project Lawyers Without Borders Student Division. She was then elected President of the award-winning Pro Bono Society in her final year, where she oversaw the operation of twelve projects.
