Rebecca was appointed to the newly established Director of Pro Bono and Clinical Legal Education in 2019. She is responsible for developing and leading the Edinburgh Law School’s pro bono activity, a role that includes managing the award winning Free Legal Advice Centre. Rebecca holds an LLM in Experiential Learning and Teaching in Law and is an advocate of clinical legal education which she sees as an integral part of legal education. Rebecca is a trustee of the Access to Justice Foundation and a trustee of the Clinical Legal Education Organisation. She also sits on the Scotland Committee of the Access to Justice Foundation and of the Law Society of Scotland’s Access to Justice Committee and chairs the Scottish University Law Clinic Network. |

Originally from Germany, Helena is an LLM student at Universidade Católica Portuguesa. Helena completed her LLB with English Law at the University of Aberdeen. She is passionate about social equality, particularly in regards to access to justice, and has a keen interest in human rights and environmental law. Whilst at the University of Aberdeen, Helena led the award-winning student founded, led, and operated Aberdeen Law Project, a pro bono organisation that educates, represents, and advises the economically disadvantaged. |

Seonaid is a Lecturer in Law at Glasgow Caledonian University. In this role she supports the Law Clinic, led by the Clinic’s Academic Director Claire McFadzean, and works on a number of projects using law for the common good. She has a particular interest in strategic litigation and working with students to explore the potential for public interest litigation in Scotland. Seonaid has a Masters in International Law and worked at the International Criminal Court in the Netherlands before qualifying as a Scottish solicitor. Most recently, she worked for a law centre specialising in the rights of ethnic minority communities. Seonaid is passionate about human rights law and access to justice and is also the co-founder of RebLaw Scotland, a movement which uses law as a tool for social justice. |
