Ryan is Senior Counsel in the Akin disputes team. He maintains a broad international practice (with an emphasis on complex infrastructure developments) and has experience in more than 30 countries. Recognised as a Future Arbitration Leader (WWL) and an “up and coming star” (Legal 500), Who’s Who Legal notes that clients and peers describe Ryan as “very intelligent” and “one of the top lawyers in the region”. He is also highly regarded for his case management, which is said to be “second to none”. Ryan has been recognised in the FT Innovative Lawyers list (Europe) and is the recipient of several industry awards, including UK Legal Personality of the Year (as voted for by the profession). Prior to joining Akin, Ryan was a Senior Associate at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP in Dubai and London. At University, Ryan graduated top of his class with first class honours and was elected President of the Law Society. He is the founder of the Aberdeen Law Project and ProBonoSkills.com. |

Aidan is currently the Student Director of the Tayside and Perthshire Law Project and has been since the Project’s launch in 2021. Striving for equality and creating equitable opportunities is something Aidan considers important. Alongside working on pro bono projects, he has worked in partnership with figures such as Nicola Sturgeon to help tackle social inequality. |

Jack recently completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Salford and is completing his LPC MSc in Law, Business and Management at the University of Law. In August 2023, he will be commencing his training contract at Clyde & Co. Jack believes that it is crucial that students, no matter what their background, have access to key resources that can help them to develop the necessary skills for a successful career in law. |
